Hiring of lodging in mountain - Appy Ariège the Pyrenees

- Appy is located on picturesque Route of the Cornices, with the foot of the Solid mass of the Saint Barthelemy. With 1000 meters of altitude, it is the most village of this road. In spite of the presence of about thirty houses, the village is not populated that of 23 inhabitants in winter. But the demographic decline seems stopped today: in 2000, there were nothing any more but 8 inhabitants! - Many activities are possible in Appy or in the valley: there is for all the tastes!
The EXCURSION: Since the lodging, a great choice of stroll and of excursions is offered to you, of strolls family from one village to another or the excursion in mountain towards the Pond of Appy or the Peak of Saint Barthelemy. A broad range of routes allows excursions of any level and almost all the year: if necessary, we will be able to lend the topo-guides to you. - For some of these excursions, you can also take along your bicycles, or to consider one strolls with an ass over one day.
- Observation of FAUNA and the FLORA: open the eyes and the ears!! According to the seasons and sectors', you will be able easily to observe the savage animals of mountains (moufflons, marmots, isards, etc) and to discover the richness of the vegetation. Speak us about your discoveries: we will be able surely to inform you! - The CLIMBING: There is a Ecole rock in Appy and other sites are present at nearly 20 minutes. - SNOWS, rackets and ski: Stroll in rackets, fellows of snow and descents out of toboggan are possible on the spot, but you will be able to also to return you in less than 45 min. in the ski resorts: Ax - 3 Fields, Ascou - Pailhères for the skiing on piste, Beille, Chioula for the ski touring (and huskies in Beille)
- Other activities IN FAMILY: the caves (Lombrives, Niaux, the Cow…) and the Pyrenean Park of prehistoric art the Talc career of Luzenac the Museum of the Pyrene Forging mills and the Museum of Niaux Romance, many churches on the Cornice the castle of Lordat and its flying, the House of the Mountain and the House of the Wolves with Orlu - thermoludism with Ax - Thermal baths and Ussat Baths; water levels of Belcaire and Montbel; base nautical of Mercus; swimming pools covered or not escapade in Andorra according to the seasons: fish, mushrooms etc Lastly, of the theater of street to the music and the cinema, several festivals and festivals punctuate the summer in the valley. -
